We’re excited to announce two powerful new features designed to enhance your team’s workflow in Simplexam: Examiner Assignment and Role Configuration. These updates provide admins and managers with greater control over task assignment and role-specific visibility, helping users stay focused and productive.
Examiner Assignment: Targeted Task Management
The new Examiner Assignment feature allows admins and managers to assign work to specific users by examiner, giving staff a more focused view of their tasks. By default, all users are assigned to all examiners, but with a few simple steps, you can fine-tune assignments to better suit your team’s needs:
- Navigate to the Users screen and select the Active Users tab.
- In the ‘Assigned Examiners’ column, click Edit to update examiner assignments for any user.
- Switch to the Examiner Assignment tab to view a list of examiners and the corresponding assignees for each.
This feature helps streamline the workflow by presenting users with only the data they need to complete their assigned tasks, improving efficiency and focus. For more details, check out our knowledge base article on Examiner Assignment.
Role Configuration: Tailored User Experiences
With Role Configuration, admins and managers can now further customize user roles based on specific team functions. This feature allows you to create roles tailored to departments or job types, giving users access only to the areas of Simplexam relevant to their role.
For example, you could create a Billing role that limits visibility to billing-related functions for your billing and collections team. You can even subdivide roles, such as creating a Junior Biller role for team members handling bill preparation and a Senior Biller role for those managing bill collection.
Simplexam includes three default roles—Manager, Staff, and Biller—but with Role Configuration, you can create as many roles as your organization needs to manage your team and workflow effectively.
Currently, this feature focuses on Billing Tasks, but we plan to expand it to cover other areas of Simplexam in the future. Combined with Examiner Assignment, you can now assign users to specific examiners and display only the tasks and areas of Simplexam that align with their job functions.
